Freshworks "organization" helps you group all your accounts and users and manage the common policies from one central place including policies related to security, authentication, user provisioning and billing.

Whom will it impact?

  • Only Account admins

  • Regular users/agents will continue to use the products as is without any change in the user behaviour.

How does it impact?

  • Once the Organization feature is enabled for you, all the subsequent logins will be redirected to your Freshworks Login URL (which you customize as explained above) and your users are expected to enter their username / password as usual.

  • Your users can continue to use the same username / password and don't have to take any other additional steps as part of this release.

  • Going forward, Admins will be able to manage their users & accounts from the Org Dashboard and as such, it doesn't have any operational impact to the rest of the users.

What should you do?

  • Once this feature is enabled, please group all the accounts that you want to manage in this Organization. If they are not already grouped by us, you can add them by going to the Org Dashboard and importing the account from the Org Dashboard.

As part of the release, we have auto assigned an Freshworks Org Domain automatically for you - for example, https://awesomecompany.freshworks.com. If you would like to change it or customize it to suit your branding needs, you can do so by going to Organization Profile in the Org Dashboard and clicking on Change Domain button.

What features did we launch as part of this release?

We prioritized the security related features and have enabled admins to configure the security policies from the Org Dashboard.

You will be able to

  • configure OAuth2 / SAML / OIDC SSO configuration from the org dashboard to govern access to your Freshworks accounts.

  • Enable / disable password based authentication or Google Login based on your needs.

  • Configure password policy to suit your organization's needs.

  • Monitor the audit logs related to all login, logout and security policy related changes done in your organization.

  • Customize the Freshworks Org URL and your logo to suit your branding needs

  • Let your users configure Two Factor Authentication to turn on additional factor of security.

  • Group all your accounts under one organization for easier administration and policy management.
